Community Safety Meeting

May 3, 2023 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Hello NE Seattle neighbors,

As a member of the View Ridge Community Council, I am committed to the goal of helping make our respective neighborhoods an even better place to live, work, and play.

Building strong relationships within our community is a key component in achieving this goal.

I am excited to share that we have teamed up with the Hawthorne Hills Community Council & Seattle Police Department to host a free in-person event about Neighborhood Crime Prevention on May 3rd at the Seattle Public Library (NE Branch).

We were inspired to act by some recent events. Specifically, two men were arrested in separate child kidnappings last September, including one attempt here in our very own View Ridge neighborhood.

This is against a backdrop of Seattle violent crime hitting a 15-year high in 2022.

As a community council, we believe it is our responsibility to help empower and inform all neighbors on how they can prevent crime in their respective communities.

Join us on May 3rd at 6:30p to learn more about neighborhood safety from Sarah Lawson, Seattle Police Department’s Crime Prevention Coordinator – North Precinct.

Thank you for your continued engagement in our NE Seattle community.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact us at: info@viewridgeseattle.org
