



Dear VRE Community,
As we prepare for the 2025-2026 school year, the PTA would like to provide more information about the PTA budget process and PTA funding to SPS and VRE. We have put together a survey that is meant to collect information from the VRE community about priorities for the 2025-2026 school year. The PTA uses this information to partner with the Building Leadership Team (BLT) to ensure we are meeting the needs of the community and fulfilling the PTA Mission. Below you will find the link to provide feedback about priorities for the 2025-2026 school year, as well as information about current PTA funding at VRE for the current school year.

PTA Mission and Vision Statement for the Washington State PTA:

Seattle Public Schools (SPS) is currently funding the following for the 24-25 school year:
1.00 FTE Physical Education | .5 FTE Office Assistant |
.2 FTE Nursing | .5 FTE Librarian |
.2 FTE Social Work | .5 Art |
*Please note, .5 FTE Librarian means ALL students will have access to the library as a part of their education.
The PTA plays an important role in advocating for and supporting additional school needs and resources. Some of the funding raised by the PTA can be allocated to SPS, and the remaining balance is used by the PTA throughout the school year to fund additional services, resources, and classroom support.
Based on fundraising, the PTA committed to the following funding support to SPS directly for the current 24-25 school year:
.5 FTE to an Interventionist | .5 FTE Librarian |
