Thank you to everyone who sent in nominations for our Otter and Acorn awards this year. I’m happy to announce that Ms. Janna Redman was the winner of this year’s Otter Award for her exceptional support, dedication, and compassion for her students. One nomination stated that Ms. Redman, “deeply cares for her students, makes learning fun, deals with wiggly kids and challenging behavior with a great attitude and patience, and is a wonderful communicator with parents at a total and individual child level.” Thank you Ms. Redman for all of your hard work and care for your students and View Ridge! For the Acorn Award we had a tie this year with Shannon Robinson and Casey White as our winners. They both received several nominations citing their passionate commitment to re-building our school’s community, and making View Ridge a destination school again. We have Shannon to thank for our movie night, parent nights, auction, and for all of the wonderful Otter sweatshirts, t-shirts, hats, etc. Thank you Shannon for all of your hard work and bringing us back together as a community! And thank you to Casey for always jumping in wherever needed, for helping run the PTA this year and having a positive, can-do attitude.
We are grateful to all of our volunteers and teachers for such a wonderful school year. We were able to bring back many events and activities this year, and we hope that we can count on your continued support to make next year amazing as well. Thank you!
Heather, View Ridge PTA Vice-President
